The Barone a Prato winery, founded in 1885, is run by the fourth generation of Paolo’s family.
With a personal touch, Paolo takes great care of every stage of wine production. Traditional techniques and the respect for the environment are two fundamental ingredients that contribute to the authenticity and uniqueness of his wines.
As well as purchasing the winery’s products, you will get the chance to meet Paolo and enjoy his company while tasting his wines and sharing unforgettable memories with him.
In the summer, another special experience awaits the winery’s guests: have a delicious picnic in the vineyards and taste Barone a Prato’s wines, symbol of their passion for the land.
From the winery, enjoy a 5-minute walk along the Dürer Trail as far as the remains of the Segonzano Castle. Towering over the valley, the castle will be the perfect backdrop for your locally sourced picnic.
The winery prepares three sustainable, zero-waste picnics: traditional, vegetarian and gluten free.
