Medium difficulty route mainly on dirt roads crossing the municipalities of Giovo, Faedo, and Cembra.
After the first asphalt stretch up to Fontanelle di Faedo, the route winds through the labyrinthine network of forest roads and trails across the dense woods of the Val di Cembra offering numerous exciting technical descents. A must-stop at the roccolo del Sauch: a tree sculpture formerly used for bird hunting and now transformed into a birdwatching observation point. Nearby at the Malga Sauch Restaurant, refreshments are available.

CODE OF CONDUCT FOR SUSTAINABLE BIKING
ALWAYS WEAR A HELMET!
From the village of Masen, similarly to route no.1, you reach the Serre cross and continue towards Faedo on an asphalt road until you reach loc. Fontanelle di Faedo - a beautiful park and large parking area - from where the long stretch in the woods begins. The dirt road towards Sauch has never excessive slopes except for a short very steep cobbled section that gradually becomes gentler near the Croccola pass. From the pass, you descend to the Sauch refuge passing near the Roccolo visible on the left, then retrace the route back to the pass. From here, you continue on the forest road, sometimes steep and paved with porphyry, following the signs for capanna Maderlina until you reach the Lagabrùn biotope; shortly after you reach the asphalt road that goes from Cembra up to Lago Santo. You descend along the road until you find on the right a path (n 414) which you follow towards Palù Sovina. From here, leaving the 414 path that bends to the right, you continue along path 417 which leads towards capanna Maderlina, but this is not reached because, at a junction, you turn sharply right and follow the signs for Masen. The descent to Masen, at times very technical and rewarding, ends at the sign indicating the “Mondagi nature trail” which with a few short uphill sections returns to the Serre cross. From the cross, abandoning the idea of descending along the short asphalt road, you enter a small path which without possibility of error brings us back to Masen just before the Fior di Bosco hotel.
Masen can be reached by Trentino Trasporti bus lines B102 (up to Verla di Giovo) and B105 (from Verla to Ville di Giovo) and then about half an hour on foot.
Coming from the A22 Brennero motorway, either from the south or north, exit at the Trento nord toll station (distance from the toll station 22.5 km), follow the S.S. 12 del Brennero northbound until the Lavis junction, then go on SP 131 to Verla di Giovo and then take SP 58 leading to Masen di Giovo.
Free parking at the Masen football field.
