The lush nature of Val di Cembra invites you to try new sports, new movements and new motivations. You can practice a lot of sports here, from trekking along historical paths to cycling or mountain cycling, from fishing in the Avisio stream to curling practiced and loved by all the inhabitants of Cembra. Moments of sport and relaxation to explore the territory and enjoy nature.

Val di Cembra is also known for its sport champions. Palù di Giovo, with only 500 inhabitants, is the home village of Gilberto Simoni and the Moser family. The “Borgo in rosa”, with its 86 days of maglia rosa, the pink jersey representing the Giro d’Italia, makes it the nursery of young cycling champions, also thanks to the historical sports association called Società Montecorona.

What about Cembra? Cembra is the homeland of curling, a sport born in the open air on the icy surface of Lago Santo at 1200 mt a.s.l. Here you can find one of the few covered structures (with two curling sheets) in northern Italy. Some athletes of the Italian national team are born here (Retornaz, Mosaner, Giovannella, Arman). The curling Italian team managed to win the bronze medal at the World Championships of Las Vegas 2022 and two gold medals of the mixed double at the Olympics Games of Beijing 2022, won by Amos Mosaner and Stefania Costantini, athlete from Cortina d’Ampezzo.
