Walk along the banks of the Avisio River, discovering biodiversity.
This simple itinerary leads to the discovery of a small treasure trove of biodiversity, as well as one of the protected areas of Trentino. Step by step, immerse yourself in nature, discovering the flora and fauna that characterize the area. The walk is accompanied by the slow murmur of the Avisio River, which can be closely observed thanks to a panoramic footbridge and some small footbridges that cross its small tributaries. The quiet of the place is brightened by the chirping of birds, which can be glimpsed in their natural habitat thanks to a wooden tower placed halfway along the route; an ideal observation point to learn about the various species populating the banks of the Avisio.

THE 10 RULES FOR HIKERS
As you can imagine, the passability of routes in a mountain environment is strictly linked to current conditions and depends on natural phenomena, environmental changes, and weather conditions. For this reason, the information contained in this sheet may have changed. Before departing, check the status of the route by contacting the refuge managers on your route, mountain guides, natural park visitor centers, and tourist offices.
From the bridge, follow the obvious dirt road that runs along the Avisio River. Then, the route turns left, continuing to follow the river. Passages through small groves of hazelnuts, Norway spruces, birches, and other shrubs alternate with meadows inviting pleasant relaxing stops. Following the signs, it is possible to take a short footbridge leading to an observation point over the riverbed; returning to the main path, continue towards Predazzo. Two wooden footbridges allow easy crossing of the tributaries coming from Lagorai, while a wooden tower offers a privileged viewpoint of the local wildlife. The route then continues through the meadows of the "countryside" of Predazzo until reaching an area equipped with benches, tables, and a drinking fountain. Here it is possible to learn more about the importance of the river park thanks to the information panels of the Right Avisio Reserve Network.
