Short walk among the trails of Alpe Lusia-Bellamonte ski area where the view will enchant you. The Dolomites in winter are as fabulous as unforgettable.
This effortless winter walk starts at the bottom cable car station of Bellamonte-Alpe Lusia. By the Bellamonte 3.0 cable car you will reach 1800 meters of altitude, from which you can admire the ski slopes and characteristic huts. As you reach the slopes you can admire the surrounding landscape - wide spruce forests and the wonderful Pale di San Martino on the horizon. Once you get off the cable car you can easily spot the beaten path that will lead you to Passo Lusia (pay attention when you cross the ski slope).

Experience walking along irregular mountain trails is recommended. It may happen that the path is not clear form snow. In the event of fresh snow, microspikes are recommended. Be careful of ice when temperatures are particularly low.

From “Castelir” (Bellamonte), take the cable car Bellamonte 3.0, composed of two sections of the same skilift that leads up to 1800 mt. From the upper cable car station, take the route to Passo Lusia. After the first stretch, when you have to cross the ski slope, make sure to do it safely. The path proceeds in constant and slow uphill, that, among Swiss pines, until you can admire the numerous peaks and the ski slopes. Once you reach Rifugio Lusia, located a few metres from Passo Lusia, you can admire the Dolomite massif of Catinaccio. Walk back on the same route.

You can reach the Bellamonte ski lifts by the ski bus from Cavalese and Predazzo.
First go from Cavalese to Predazzo and then take the road to Passo Rolle. After passing the village of Bellamonte, at the first crossroads take the road on the left that leads directly to the skilift.
There are large parking lots by the skilift.
Warm clothes, boots and ski poles. You can even use appropriate baby strollers for mountain walks.
