Even if this trail is not technically difficult and has no dangerous stretches, we always and in any case suggest to follow the general rules on safety for mountain hikes.
The itinerary starts from Grumes square. From here you go up towards the church and then, after crossing the SS. 612, towards the Masi di Grumes. After the artisan area, follow the path that leads to the Baita Penna Nera and then the signs for Valdonega.
Continue uphill along a paved road until you reach the Valdonega meadows, an area with characteristic mountain huts. At the capital, follow the signs for Lac del Vedes.
At the peat bog a wooden platform takes you to a close-up view of the site's characteristic features. The route through the bog then passes an attractive viewpoint before continuing on a forest footpath alongside a small water rivulet to a junction with a forest track to Passo della Cima. Those wanting to descend to Rifugio Potzmauer can follow the signs from the pass to the
Adige valley. If, on the other hand, you want to return to your starting point right away, follow signs for Masi di Grumes-Grumes (footpath SAT 480).
