THE 10 RULES FOR HIKERS
The itinerary starts from Faver, a small village characterised by the wine and food tradition still alive in the local producers, including the Paolazzi Distillery, the Paolazzi Butcher Shop and the Locanda del Passatore. From here, descend following European Path E5, along the ancient Corvaia trail, to the historic Cantillaga bridge over the Avisio river. From here, turn right in the direction of Piazzo. Near the cemetery, a diversion to the left leads to the ruins of Segonzano Castle, a panoramic viewpoint over the vineyards and of historical and cultural interest. After reaching the chapel of Sant'Antonio, we descend to the village of Piazzo, where the church of the Immacolata and the Baroni a Prato palace with the winery of the same name are located.
From here it is possible to return towards Faver or, taking the E5 again, climb up to the hamlet of Stedro where the Giacomozzi inn and distillery is located. From here, proceed gently uphill to the vantage point looking down on the Piramidi di Terra di Segonzano and descend along the path, which crosses the entire site, until reaching near the Regnana stream and the Chiosco alle Piramidi kiosk. A path leads back to the village of Piazzo from where you descend along the provincial road to the Friendship Bridge over the Avisio river. After crossing the bridge, turn immediately left along a secondary road that runs alongside the stream. Along the country roads that cross the vineyards, you climb up to Faver.
It is possible to leave your car in the village centre of Faver di Altavalle in the car park in the church square.
