The panoramic point that can be reached by leaving the streets of the village behind, is a small oasis of tranquility from which to admire Varena and the Lagorai Chain from above, protected by the massive wooden crucifix behind the inviting bench. Continuing we reach the place "Palù"; the name (in Italian) suggests the presence of marshy soil, we are in fact in a particularly humid and valuable area from a floristic and vegetative point of view.
After passing the road that climbs to Passo Lavazè, you return to the woods to the Varena sports field. Here the route ends, but the area offers other paths. Do you really want to leave these woods?

THE 10 RULES FOR HIKERS
Please note that the practicability of the itineraries in a mountain environment is strictly linked to the contingent conditions and is therefore influenced by natural phenomena, environmental changes and weather conditions. For this reason, the information contained in this page may have changed. Before leaving for a tour, make sure the path you will approach is still accessible by contacting the owner of the mountain hut, the alpine guides or the visitor centres of the nature parks, the info offices of the local tourist board.
Climb Via Corozzola and turn right at the first stretch of unsurfaced road. Just across the small bridge take the path up along the stream. After 50 metres turn right and continue past the paling to reach a ‘belvedere’ with a fine wooden sculpture of Christ. Continue north-east along a country track to join the surfaced road. Near the house Lazzeri turn left and climb up to the ‘Palù’ area (with its broad plateau). In the space under the Alpine cabin (baita), and before the point where the path re-crosses the little stream that runs down from the marsh, turn right and follow the ‘Busa Longa’ trail across the valley to the Bancoline area. Before Baita Bancoline turn right and descend along the old cobbled road to the edge of the village near the Santolin aqueduct. From Bancoline an alternative return route is to walk along the SS 620 for about 200 metres to the trail leading to the sports field and tennis courts.
