Shady walk through spruce forest.
Just a few steps from Dorà, a small hamlet in the municipality of Valfloriana, you plunge into a dense forest consisting mainly of spruce trees and a subsoil typical of forests composed of these conifers. Sections strewn with fir needles alternate with others that are wetter and covered with moss, on which you can find blueberry seedlings. At the right time of year, you can also find mushrooms, the collection of which is subject to the purchase of a daily or multi-day permit. Once out of the forest, the view opens onto the Cembra Valley, a land of vineyards, ancient factories, nature trails and incredible views.

Starting point
Small Church of Dorà
Directions

From the little church in Dorà, head along the tarmac road in the direction of Palù, past the first house on the right take the grassy path before another house and climb up through the meadows. On the right is a small playground, while on the left are benches with a table. Continue straight up the steep slope, ignoring the obvious path on the right. Continue straight uphill on the path with some roots, leaving the small walls on the left. The path continues steeply up until it reaches a metre-high boulder, passing to the left and then continuing through mossy undergrowth. The path reaches a plateau and then becomes more evident and begins to descend (note a small clearing on the right). A very short ascent leads to a ridge where a change in vegetation can be seen. The path descends again, flanked on the left by a small wall and ending in a meadow and then in the asphalt road. Looking up, there is a beautiful view of the Val di Cembra. On reaching the asphalt road, turn right, returning to the starting point.

How to get there
