Imagine walking on a mountain that tell stories… welcome to the GEOTRAIL DOS CAPÈL! Vanished seas, erupting volcanoes, rocks from millions of years ago – discover the geology of the Dolomites through two themed trails full of fascinating stations.
1. The short trail (2.5 km) begins above the Gardoné–Passo Feudo chairlift, at 2,200 m, and is an inclusive route of about 1.5 hours. You are free to stroll along the path, train your eyes to recognize rocks and plants from the Latemar range – a UNESCO World Heritage Site – thanks to stations with visual, tactile, and audio content, accessible also for people with visual impairments or cognitive differences.
2. For those who are more eager, you can add an extra kilometer (total: 3.6km), making it a 2.5-hour excursion. Explore nature in 19 stages, play with the Dolomite scenery to protect our Planet and preserve its history!
