The Paneveggio Nature Park is situated in the most easterly portion of Trentino, the park encompasses the forests of Paneveggio, S. Martino di Castrozza, Valsorda and Valzanca, the Dolomite group of the Pale di S. Martino, and a short section of the Lagorai chain, for a total of 197 Km².
The park visitors' centre is called “Terra Foresta”: it is close to the Forte Buso lake, along the road from Predazzo to Rolle Pass. It describes the history of this great forest of Norway Spruce, now known throughout the world as the Forest of Violins for the quality of its soundboard spruce, which was highly prized by the master violin makers of the past.
Near the Centre you can have a walk on the naturalistic path Marciò and along a big enclosure with several deers live.
