The Church was consecrated in 1193 by the Bishop of Trento Conrado II. After various extensions over the years, it was considerably rebuilt in the years 1925-26.
On the front door there is a bezel depicting the Madonna and Child, the work of the painter Camillo Rasmo, while at the top there is the figure of San Nicolò.
The massive bell tower of 1572 had a Gothic spire that was no longer rebuilt after serious damage caused by lightning. The current system with four eardrums remained, truncated in the tip grafting area.
The interior has three aisles in neoclassical style. On the back wall, the altarpiece depicting the Crucifix is the work of Don Antonio Longo.
