A route of medium difficulty, unforgettable for the splendid natural scenery of the western Lagorai and an enchanting passage to the summit of the Pradi de la Fior.
As you can imagine, the practicability of routes in a mountain environment is closely linked to conditions and therefore depends on natural phenomena, environmental changes and weather conditions. For this reason, the information contained in this sheet may have changed. Before setting off, find out about the status of the route by contacting the manager of the huts on your route, mountain guides, nature park visitor centres and tourist offices.
The ascent of this itinerary takes place largely on an asphalted road from Montesover. There are significant gradients to reach the 1950 m altitude of Malga Sass, passing first through Baita Monte Pat. Passing the typical wooden fence delimiting the pastures around the malga, follow the forest road to the enchanting Pradi de la Fior, where there is a war memorial. Continuing on the left side of the meadow below, there are passages on wooden footbridges and then on the forest road amidst characteristic mountain huts. To conclude the loop, when you come to a junction of four roads, turn left and reach the starting route taken to reach Malga Sass.
Montesover can be reached by the B 403 and B 404 suburban public transport lines.
Coming from the A22 Brennero motorway (from the south, exit Trento south - from the north, exit Trento north) and the Brennero state road 12, continue along the S.S. 47 della Valsugana to Pergine Valsugana - Padua to the Mochena junction for Altopiano di Piné, then take the S.P. 83 di Piné to Montesover.
It is always advised to let someone know where you plan to go and how long you expect to be.
