This 4-day circular trekking route is very versatile as it allows you to choose between several variants of different difficulty levels. For this reason, it can be undertaken both by those approaching multi-day trekking for the first time and by experienced people.
The map shows the most challenging route. The MEDIUM and EASY variants are described at each stage in the FOLLOWING DIRECTIONS section.
The itinerary offers spectacular views of the Lagorai Chain and the Pale di San Martino. Along the entire route, there are refuges and refreshment spots where you can take a break, eat, and stay overnight. The trail leads to the discovery of some little-known paths, among alpine lakes and World War I trenches, a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the nature and history of the Fiemme Valley. After the first two days dedicated to exploration of Alpe Lusia, among paths characterized by a great variety of rocks and porphyry outcrops, with the Dolomites as a backdrop, the third and fourth days you literally dive into the beauty of the Pale di San Martino, with their soaring pinnacles and postcard landscapes. Almost the entire route runs through the Paneveggio - Pale di San Martino Natural Park, a protected natural area since 1967.
