Val di Cembra is a land of champions. Palù di Giovo, just 500 inhabitants, is the birthplace of Francesco Moser and Gilberto Simoni. The "village in pink," one could paraphrase, with its 86 days in the pink jersey at the Giro d'Italia is still a nursery for young cycling champions thanks to the historic Montecorona Society.
